Objectives

As the Global Woking Group on Faith, SSDDIM, and HIV, our objectives are:

To build and promote a strong global SSDDIM reduction and SAVE multiplication  movement within the faith sector and other sectors through ecumenical networking, partnership and inter-faith activities;

To initiate, stimulate, strengthen, mobilize and coordinate regional and national working groups on Faith, SSDDIM, and HIV to effectively support SDDIM reduction and SAVE multiplication initiatives at all levels;

To multiply competent leadership and capacity in the faith sector for comprehensive HIV&AIDS prevention, care, treatment and impact mitigation services;

To increase access to accurate information and knowledge and appropriate attitudes, skills and services on HIV/AIDS through research, exchange, partnerships, training and capacity building to enable individuals, families, communities and nations adopt safer, healthier and life defending behaviours, practices, policies and programs;

To advocate and lobby for SSDDIM reduction  and  SAVE multiplication  policies, laws, plans, programs and practices through policy dialogue and alliance building at all levels;

To stimulate theological dialogue, reflection and critical analysis from the perspective of faith within the movement and beyond;

To mobilize resources to support the 2031 Campaign to SAVE families, communities and nations from HIV/AIDS.
